Innovation for the reinvention of democracy
To invent new forms of democracy, Africa needs new flows of ideas, collectives to carry them out and bring them to life, and new ways of networking players in the field. As part of the 2023-2024 call for projects, the Foundation will provide financial support for a dozen flagship initiatives, representative of the main challenges facing democracy in Africa.
In particular, the Foundation will support players who want to test and put into practice new ideas and solutions with a positive impact on the democratic transformation of their community, locality or nation. The Foundation will give priority to initiatives that are likely to spread across the African continent.
Selected initiatives will be supported for 12 months via a package combining educational and financial support. The amount of the grant allocated for 2023-2024 will be between €10,000 and €45,000 maximum.
This call is open to project leaders (legal entities) established on the African continent and with legal status (mandatory).
Applicants are invited to read the information note carefully and take note of the list of documents to be attached to the application file.

The winners are scheduled to be announced on November 27, 2023.
